“Wahala” is a raw and unflinching reflection on the unspoken battles of mental health in the Black household. With haunting vocals and piercing honesty, Akeylah confronts the stigma that labels vulnerability as weakness—captured in the searing line, ‘lazy Black child.’ The track blends cultural rhythm with emotional truth, transforming personal pain into a universal call for empathy and understanding. More than a song, it’s a testimony: a reminder that silence around struggle is its own kind of trouble.”
